Focus Areas & Projects

The Greater Green River Basin is predominantly a gas-producing province, with production from marine and fluvial reservoirs within the Cretaceous Lance, Lewis, Almond, Ericson, Lower Mesaverde, Frontier, and Dakota Formations. Thousands of natural gas wells have been drilled by industry participants over the last few years in the basin. Recent industry studies predict nearly 360 trillion cubic feet (“Tcf”) of recoverable gas still in place within the Green River Basin. The Green River Basin is a key focus area of the Company.

Warrior recently assembled a substantial oil & gas leasehold position within the prolific Green River Basin of southwestern Wyoming. To date, the Company has completed several sizable acquisitions in the basin highlighted by the recent acquisition of the Company’s high-potential Strike Project from a major U.S. oil & gas company. As a result of these recent transactions, Warrior now owns an interest in approximately 9,000 net mineral acres in the Green River Basin, where active drilling by the Company has commenced. The Company also recently established a U.S. $50,000,000 credit facility with Macquarie Bank Limited to help fund the development of the Company’s Green River Basin assets.

Projects Overview

Strike Project: Green River Basin

The Company’s Strike Project Area is located in Sweetwater County, Wyoming within the Greater Green River Basin. The recently acquired Strike assets provide the Company with lower risk unconventional and statistically predictable natural gas resource base with significant upside opportunity.  The Strike Project Area is situated between several prolific and well established natural gas fields. Strike is immediately west of the Wamsutter Field, which produces gas and condensate from the upper Cretaceous Almond and Lewis Formations. Additionally, the Hay Reservoir Field, productive from Lewis reservoirs, lies immediately to the northwest of the Strike area. North of the area, the Seaver Unit produces gas from Lewis and Lower Medaverde reservoirs.

Greater DiMaggio Project: Green River Basin

The Company’s Greater DiMaggio Project Area, consisting of approximately 4,000 net acres, is located in Sweetwater County, Wyoming within the Greater Green River Basin. The primary objective of this project area target members of the highly-prolific Mesaverde Formation. This project area is a stratigraphic play, with sandstone grading into marine shale in an updip direction. The production in this area is highly overpressured. The Company believes this area to contain significant potential for a basin-centered gas accumulation (“BCGA”). Well costs in this area typically average around $2.2 million per well. Typical well depths average between 10,000 and 13,000 feet.

Red Desert Basin Project: Green River Basin

The Company’s Red Desert Basin Project Area, consisting of approximately 2,080 net acres, located in the northern Red Desert Basin within the Greater Green River Basin.  The play concept targets the prolific Mesaverde, where the Company believes there is tremendous potential for tight gas sands play.  The Red Desert Project in close proximity to established natural gas fields which produce from the Lewis, Alomond, and lower Medaverde.
